In 1930 part of this house was rented for $45 a month by Reagan Phinney, a 38-year old from Canada who worked as an accountant for a music house. Reagan lived in 59 Beechcroft with his 41-year old Canadian wife Gertrude and their five children: 12-year old Margaret, 9-year old John, 8-year old Gerald, 2-year old Donald, and 2-year old Mary. 61 Beechcroft was rented for $45 a month by John Damasso, a 31-year old building plasterer from New York. John lived with his 29-year old Scottish wife Ruth and their 9-year old son John.
