This three-story brick multi-family house was built in 1925 and renovated in 1975. The 1916 Bromley Atlas shows Frank Taylor and Carrie Nesmith as the owners of the land where this house was built. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows Edward Finlay as the owner of the empty lot this house was built on. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $45 a month by Reagan Phinney, a 38-year old from Canada who worked as an accountant for a music house. Reagan lived in 59 Beechcroft with his 41-year old Canadian wife Gertrude and their five children: 12-year old Margaret, 9-year old John, 8-year old Gerald, 2-year old Donald, and 2-year old Mary. 61 Beechcroft was rented for $45 a month by John Damasso, a 31-year old building plasterer from New York. John lived with his 29-year old Scottish wife Ruth and their 9-year old son John. |
