This brick multi-family house was built in 1899 and rises two stories to an asphalt shingle roof.

The 1925 City Directory lists John O'Connell, a conductor, as a resident of 9 Baldwin. Annie Donovan, the widow of Jeremiah Donovan; James Donovan, a clerk; John Donovan, a laborer; and William Donovan, a clerk, are listed as residents of 11 Baldwin.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows E. Marshall as the owner of this house.
