This building was designed by Carl Fehmer and built for William Bradley in 1879.

In 1930 this house was owned by William Armory, a 60-year old printer and estate trustee. William lived with his 57-year old wife Mary and three servants: 45-year old Annie Gunn (born in Scotland), 30-year old Harrub McKee (born in Northern Ireland), and 45-year old Elizabeth Painter (born in Ireland).
