|
This multi-family house was built in 1900 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 2004. The 1925 City Directory lists John Hurley, a conductor for the Boston & Albany Railroad, as a resident of 37 Windom. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows the heirs of V. Grasso as the owners of this house. In 1930 this house was owned by Carolina Grasso, a 49-year old from Italy who worked as a maid. Carolina lived in 35 Windom with her 13-year old son Victor. 37 Windom was rented for $30 a month by Francis Bossa, a 37-year old steam fitter. Francis lived with his 34-year old Irish wife Catherine and their two daughters: 12-year old Mary and 2-year old Frances. The building was valued at $7,000. |
