This multi-family house was built in 1898 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. The 1925 City Directory lists Daniel Nolan, a tinsmith; and Daniel Nolan Jr, a signal tower repairman for the Boston & Albany Railroad, as residents of 31 Window. Frederick Brennan, an electric tester; and Frederick F. Brennan, a collector, are listed as residents of 33 Windom. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows O.M. Brennan as the owner of this house. In 1930 this house was owned by Frederick Brennan, a 44-year old who managed a meter division for the electric company. Frederick lived in 33 Windom with his 39-year old wife Olla and their two children: 23-year old Frederick, a chauffeur; and 19-year old Lora, a machine operator for a printing company. 31 Windom was rented by Louis Gesner, a 52-year old street railway operator from Canada. Louis lived with his 41-year old Canadian wife Annie and their 13-year old daughter Marion. The building was valued at $3,500. |
