This multi-family house was built in 1900 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 2003.

The 1925 City Directory lists John Hurley, a milkman, as a resident of 5 Prescott. Elmer Berry, a shipper; and George Berry, a painter, are listed as residents of 7 Prescott.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows C.S. Libby as the owner of this house.

In 1930 this house was rented for $22 a month by Harry Brown, a 38-year old fish packer from Canada. Harry lived with his 36-year old wife Ethel, 13-year old daughter Thelma, 8-year old son George, 5-year old daughter Helen, and 2-year old son Edward. He also 65-year old mother-in-law Nellie Berry and his 30-year old brother-in-law Elmer Berry, who worked as a leather salesman.
