Fanning Mitchell, an iceman; and Charles Prest, a laborer, are listed as residents of 290 North Harvard. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows J. and M. McNamara as the owners of this house. In 1930 part of this house was rented for $30 a month by Francis Hollun, a 38-year old fireman. Francis lived in 288 North Harvard with his 35-year old French-Canadian wife Mary and their seven children: 15-year old Richard, 14-year old Francis, 12-year old Mary, 7-year old Harold, 5-year old Elizabeth, 3-year old Paul, and 2-year old Anna. 290 North Harvard was rented for $28 a month by Mary Benison, a 59-year old from Canada. Mary lived with her 30-year old daughter Catherine Tanner, a packer for a tea company; 70-year old brother John Stoyles; 32-year old daughter Mary Doneitte, a hospital nurse; 31-year old son-in-law John Doneitte, a driver for an express company; 2-year old grandson Ralph Doneitte; and 68-year old Joanna Scully, a roomer who worked as a music teacher. |
