This multi-family house was built in 1900 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof. A renovation was performed in 2000.

The 1925 City Directory lists Adoniram Bussell, an engineer; and George Bussell, an engineer for the Boston & Albany Railroad, as residents of 41 Bayard. Charles Bussell, an engineer for the Boston & Albany Railroad; and Mary Jameson, the widow of Oliver Jameson, are listed as residents of 43 Bayard.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows A.G. Harris as the owner of this house.

In 1930 this house was owned by Horace Yapp, a 44-year old bricklayer. Horace lived in 43 Bayard with his 38-year old wife Anna and his two daughters: 16-year old Dorothy and 15-year old Florance. The building was valued at $7,000. 41 Bayard was rented for $40 a month by Francis Newcomb, a 37-year old Maine-born railroad locomotive fireman. Francis lived with his 39-year old wife Mabel, his 12-year old daughter Dorothy, and his 11-year old son Francis.
