This two-story multi-family house was built in 1895.

The 1925 City Directory lists John Garrity, a chief petty officer in the US Navy; and Daniel MacArthur, a brakeman for the Boston & Albany Railroad, as residents of 15 Bayard.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows M.V. Garrity as the owner of this house.

In 1930 this house was owned by John Garrity, a 46-year old fireman. He lived at 15 Bayard with his 45-year old wife Mary, his 16-year old son John Jr., and his 10-year old daughter Louise. The house was valued at $4,500. 13 Bayard was rented for $33 a month by Daniel MacArthur, a 42-year old brakeman for the Boston and Albany Railroad originally from Newfoundland. Daniel livd with his 43-year old Irish wife Mary , and his three children: 15-year old Mary, 12-year old Anna, and 4-year old Donald.
