The 1925 City Directory lists Hugh Casey, a lawyer; Mary Casey, the widow of Michael Casey; William Casey, a salesman; Katherine Kenney, a teacher at the George Angell School in Roxbury; and Arthur Ryan, a traveling passenger agent, as residents of this house. The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows M.T. Casey as the owner of this house. In 1930 this house was owned by Mary Casey, a 69-year old Welsh widow. Mary lived with her 29-year old son Hugh, a carpenter. The house was valued at $9,000. David Smith, a 68-year old carpenter from Canada, rented part of this house for $40 a month. David lived with his 60-year old Canadian wife Mary and his three daughters: Mary S., a 29-year old "packer" in a factory; Sarah, a 26-year old typist in an insurance office; and Rhoda, a 22-year old stenographer. David's 48-year old sister-in-law Emma Hodnett, who worked as a weaver in a silk mill, also lived with them. | ||
