This multi-family house was built in 1900 and rises two stories to an asphalt roof.

The 1925 City Directory lists Richard C. Rodenhiser, an engineer; and Richard F. Rodenhiser, a plumber's helper, as residents of 10 Bayard. Ernest Rodenhiser, a fireman for the Boston & Albany Railroad, is listed as a resident of 12 Bayard.

The 1925 Bromley Atlas shows L.A. Rodenhiser as the owner of this house.

In 1930 this house was owned by Richard Rodenhiser, a Canadian-born 56-year old "stationary engineer" for a meat packing plant. Richard lived in 10 Bayard with his 54-year old wife Loranda (also from Canada) and his three children: 27-year old Richard who worked as a plumber; 25-year old Gertrude who worked as a secretary for a publisher; and 20-year old Albert who worked as an auto mechanic. 12 Bayard was rented for $38 a month by Michael MacDonald, a 30-year old Canadian who worked as an auto mechanic. Michael lived with his 33-year old wife Mary (also from Canada) and his 2-year old son John. The building was valued at $4,500.
